One, it will show you are dedicated to providing content regardless of how many people are using the site. Two, even if you give up on the site by then if someone does go there they are more likely to find something there worth going back for.

RESPONSE: That would depend on what you capable of doing. Essentially you may want to do something in a different/better/more useful way than is already being done. For example, if you have a PC you could do something like create your own Wallpapers and Themes or even Flash games or Flash apps. If you just want to link to content that others created then link to something that others are not already linked to. If you want to link to stuff that others already link to, link to it in a way that makes it better/fun/more useful.
